Just when I think I'm getting the hang of this photography thing, I learn that I don't hardly know anything at all.  First it was the camera, now it's the light meter.  It is all fascinating, though. Also, I am so grateful to the models who have helped me as I learn photography.  They are patient and understanding as I muddle through light, and composition, and the process of collaboration.  I love their energy and enthusiasm for the work. We have had fun and made a few memorable photos.  It's my hope that we can keep this up and all improve our art.

Amsterdam: Things are well and good in the Netherlands.  Weedpass is on its way out and tourists are still welcome in the coffeeshops.  The Amstel still flows to the sea.  (although I don't know how, since the city is below sea level) The people are tall and beautiful.  Everyone rides bikes. I am happy here, but will be even happier to get back home. Peace

I think I'd like to try some nude photography.  In some of the pictures that I have been taking, the clothes just seem to get in the way.    The more clothing that is on, the more it looks like it belongs there in the picture.  But, at a certain point the body just wants all the attention and the clothes become a distraction.  I think it's called implied nudity, if some of the parts are strategically hidden, and that works just fine for me.  Maybe I'll get up the nerve soon and try some artistic nudes. Or maybe a better way to put it is that when a woman in lingerie is the the subject of a shot, then it's obviously just fine.  I think that w
